Recording
voice along with the music
You can record your voice along with
the music that you've
just removed the vocals from. The software has the ability
to play the track while you are recording so you can hear
the music while you sing.
First, make sure that your microphone is plugged into the
correct
jack, and is properly activated.
As many jacks look alike, make sure the microphone
is plugged into the correct jack, or use a USB microphone.
Windows: to activate the microphone with VISTA,
in the Windows Control Panel, choose:
"Hardware & Sound", then "Sound", then choose the
"Recording" tab, then double-click on "Microphone",
then click on the "Levels" tab. With some versions of
Windows instead double-click on the speaker icon at
the lower right corner of your screen, then choose
"Options", then "Properties", then choose the "Recording"
button, then click OK.
MAC: to active the microphone with OS X, go into
the System Preferences in the Apple menu. Select
the "Sound" item under Hardware, then the "Output"
tab..
Make sure your microphone is activated & is set at
a
high enough level.
Double-click on the Vocal Remover
icon.
Choose "File", then "Open" and load in your MP3 or WAV
file that you created with no vocals.
If you haven't yet removed the vocals from your music, first
read this section:
Removing the vocals from the music

Choose "File", then "Preferences". In the "Audio
I/O" tab, put
a checkmark next to "Play other tracks while recording new one".

Attach a microphone to the "MIC IN" jack on the back of
your computer or to your USB port. We offer a selection
of microphones at our Microphone Store.
Press the pink record button.

You will now hear your music playing while being able to
record your voice. A new track will automatically be created.
To save your recording, choose, "File", "Export as WAV"

If you prefer to save the music in the MP3 format,
you first need to install the MP3 export utility.
Please read this section:
